Pieter Labuschagne

Pieter is our Managing Director.  He visited Mauritius on short-term ministry trips since 1992 and finally arrived on the island on 31 January 1999 for full-time ministry.  He is married to Lize and they have two children.  He is an ordained pastor and attained the following qualifications:

 - B.A. (Theology), University of Pretoria (1992)

- B.D., University of Pretoria (1995)

- Veritas Facilitator's Certificate, Mauritius (2001)

- M.Th., University of Pretoria (2003)

- Currently busy with a Ph.D. in Old Testament Hermeneutics

 Pieter served a Principal of a Bible Institute in Mauritius for 4 years and as Chancellor of the same school for another 4 years.

He pastored a local church in Mauritius for 4 years and helped with ministry development of members of this church.

Since April 2005 he has been actively involved with Evangelism Explosion International (EE) and has taught a number of training clinics in Mauritius and Rodrigues.  He is the EE coordinator in Mauritius. 

He has experience in Theological curriculum development and course design.

He is also experienced in full-time and part-time training of adults.

He has been a facilitator and marker for SATS (South African Theological Seminary) and in this capacity he has guided a number of students through their B.Th. studies.

His fields of interest are Hermeneutics, Old and New Testament, Homiletics and Missions.

Jacques Godin

Jacques has been in part-time pastoral ministry since 1987.  He became a full-time pastor in 1999.  He is married to Sheila and they have two children.  He acquired the following qualifications:

- Emmaus Diploma, Correspondence (1995)

- Diploma in Theology, MBTI (2002)

- Veritas Facilitator's Certificate (2003)

- B.Th. (3-year degree), SATS (2008)

- Currently busy with the last year of his 4-year B.Th. degree

 Jacques has been a full-time lecturer at a Bible Institute in Mauritius for 5 years.  He also served a s Registrar of this Institute for 3 years.

He has experience in curriculum development and student administration.

He has experience in teaching full-time and part-time courses for adults.

He has taught a variety of subjects but specializes in Old and New Testament as well as Hermeneutics and Homiletics.

 Tim Barrow

 

Tim is the Regional Director of SIM Rosa (Serving in Mission - Region of Southern Africa), in Edenvale, Johannesburg.  He is married to Tricia and they have three children.  He acquired the following qualifications:

- Mechanical Engineering Technicians, Part 1.  Medway & Maidstone College of Technology,

1974-1977.

- B.A. (Bible and Missions).  Columbia Bible College, SC, USA. 

  1985-1989.

- M.A. (Old Testament).  Columbia Bible College, SC, USA. 

1989-1991.

From 1974 to 1984 he worked as a Mechanical Engineering Apprentice; Mechanical Technician; Appreciation of Construction skills and methods; and Mechanical Technician.

Tim was ordained as Minister of Religion in 1991 and from 1992 to 1996 he lectured Bible, Theology and Missions.  From 1996-2000 he was lecturer and Principal of a Bibles School.  After this he served in SIM (Serving in Mission) as Associate Area Director (Zimbabwe); Acting Area Director (Zimbabwe, Malawi, Tanzania, Mozambique); Deputy Regional Director (Namibia, Angola, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Madagascar and Mauritius).  He is currently the Regional Director of Serving in Mission for the region of Southern Africa.
